I had the insane idea of starting with Groucho in Animal Crackers, until I realised it was Zeppo (here sitting) not the intrepid explorer, Captain Spaulding himself, whose name is Horatio. Cranking up into the extra gear, called running, we truly fly, in a series of bounding hops.ĭoes this exhilarating one-legged experience, I wonder, propel the poet´s articualating leg-ends into Co(s)mic Flight? As the one-legged fun-guy on his fly-agaric trip ? Walking, our souls retain their earth-connection, half-grounded, articulating leg-ends, stepping left and right.
